Beastars Final Season 306b2j

One of the things you want to see in an anime adaptation is what it can do differently or even better than the manga, this without of a doubt meets both of those. I am obviously going to have a little bias with this IP being my all-time favorite, however, even with that there were a few things I can acknowledge that are left to be desired in the source material.

This review contains spoilers, however, the TL;DR will remain spoiler-free.

TL;DR: Season 3 brings a mix of slice-of-life world-building and mystery angles that the previous seasons displayed. The issues the manga had with pacing and the ... commonly phrased issue of, "distractiveness" in my opinion, are nowhere to be found. It is clear Studio Orange cares about this property and knows exactly how to form a clear vision for this series. Not to mention the intro (like all other seasons) is an absolute banger, and the artistry is uniquely Beastars. If you like navigating moral issues and witnessing/relating to awkward situations (even adding a bit of action in there), then I can not recommend this season of Beastars more.

Story/Plot: 10/10 - This show took what was a clear vision but in parts into a single coherent vision that shows what Beastars is meant to be. The scenes in every single episode blend beautifully and naturally with the next, adding to the character's depth in not only their own growth/mindset but in how they are holistically placed in the world around them. The major elements that were switched around from the manga like Melons incorporation with the Shishi-gumi (and subsequent rewriting of the Reapers Drop scene) and the reimagining of the concept of drugs (giving a bigger purpose to the "Bloodbone Drug"), adding a new realistic in-world dimension of how things operate. It can be argued thats what the black market's function was to convey, however, I argue it still does in which it represents harsher drugs while the tamer stuff introduced is exactly that, tamer. Granted, even with the praise and 10/10 score for the plot, it does go without saying that this season does end on a nasty cliffhanger (literally) but, I am completely fine with this as it is confirmed this isn't the end of the show.

Characters: 10/10 - Every single new character introduced in this season is perfect, they aid the themes, and drive the plot forward meaningfully. Seven (Sebun), Yahya, Gosha, Sagwan, Leonna, Melon (and yes even the little poop guy); they all play important roles in adding dimensions to Legoshis character development and showing the different perspectives that make up their world. Going more into legacy characters, the developments of Louis, Juno, Haru, and even the whole drama class was very refreshing and reminded me of why I love this series.

Music: 10/10 - The intro is (as expected) peak as per usual with Beastars, even the outro has an amazing piece accompanied by pleasing visuals. Most of the classic scores from the first season make a reappearance accompanied by new appearances making a great catalog to choose from. Granted, there is nothing super special about these scores or leitmotifs, but, it does its job as being an aid to the scenes and setting up the audience to expect what the motif comes with. All-in-all the music is undoubtedly one of the best components of Beastars, as those who detest watching the show still it the intros are bangers.

Art/Animation: 10/10 - This is the component I most love about Beastars, from the very beginning of the adaptation studio Orange experimented with stop motion, watercolor, and the mixture of 2D/3D animation. Season 3 brings what I missed in season 2, being a new vibrant experimental intro that is pleasing to watch. Also, as mentioned earlier with the outro, the paper-mache cutouts is very cool to see. In of the animation in the show itself, every aspect from previous seasons has also been improved. The choreography, camera work, facial expressions, just everything I can list. The only part that tells me it could've been better if they maybe experimented more in the actual show with different art styles like season 1 had, but, I got more than enough of that with the intros and outros.

All-in-all I thoroughly enjoyed this season and it marks a great addition to the series. Can't wait to see what meets us in season 2!

It's only PART ONE of the final season, it ends on a total cliffhanger with no release date for part two! DO NOT GO INTO THIS THINKING YOU'RE GETTING THE FINALE!

Every episode starts with "BEASTARS: FINAL SEASON", nowhere does it say "Part one" so I'm expecting storylines to wrap up by the end of the final episode 12, and NOTHING is resolved! Completely destroyed all expectations in the worst possible way, absolutely ruining what was otherwise an ok season.

It's more like S2 than S1, so if you thought the quality dropped with S2, or if you hate false advertising and cliffhangers, stay ... away!

You already know Beastars; people call it a furry show, but I call it absolute cinema.

All you need to know about this season is that it’s just wow….

I defiantly loved the romance this season. This season is more focused on the romance side of things than the action, but it’s intergrated into the show that’s doesn’t disrupt the action, and rather it develops the overall plot; would say that it compares to the romance that we see in season 1. And the focus on interspecies relationships, and the negatives that comes with this kind of relationship depicts the world of Beastars as fucked ... — and I love it.

Don’t know what else to say, just absolutely an awesome show, and I’m looking forward to part 2.

Been a BEASTARS fan since 2020. This series alone has gotten me into anime (I know its crazy)
And I've been so HYPED when season 3 was announced!
Intro is an ABSOLUTE BANGER!!!! The first half of the intro gives off sitcom vibes.
In MY OPINION, season 3 handled everything wayy better than the manga did
The examples I can think of is the part where Gohin taking care of the Tibetan fox (forgor her name) is more necessary to the story cuz it teaches Legoshi something. Also Deshiko plays a more prominent role this time rather than just only appearing in ... one chapter.

Also I had the biggest smile on my face when Gosha showed up. The anime made me love him more! He's such a loving grandfather to Legoshi
And that's about everything I can think of I'm not really all that much of a critic. I just want to show my love and appreciation to one of my favorite manga series ever.
So is it worth the wait? YES it is
I think every BEASTARS fan can have a great time with this

Shingeki no Beastars (lol), the name of the season is ridiculous, it reminds me a lot of Shingeki no Kyojin with its 84 "final seasons".

Anyway, the season itself is very good, Beastars in general is a very cool work to follow because for me it is a work that makes me have many reflections about the society in which we live, many aspects of the world of Beastars can be incorporated into our world and this is much more visible in this season than in the others in my opinion. This season rekindled my desire to watch anime so I really liked it, intelligent plot, ... reflections of society, ideological wars, prejudice and many more themes are addressed in this work. Spectacular season, I recommend everyone to give the work a chance, despite having some moments that are really embarrassing, this work manages to be wonderful in what it proposes, long live the anime of furrys lol.

Shingeki no Beastars (kkk), o nome da temporada é ridículo, lembra muito Shingeki no Kyojin com suas 84 "final season".

Enfim, a temporada em si é muito boa, Beastars no geral é uma obra muito daora de se acompanhar pois pra mim é uma obra que me faz ter muitas reflexões sobre a sociedade em que vivemos, muitos pontos do mundo de Beastars podemos incorporar no nosso mundo e isso é muito mais visível nessa temporada do que nas outras ao meu ver. Essa temporada reacendeu minha vontade de ver anime então eu gostei muito dela, trama inteligente, reflexões da sociedade, guerras ideologias, preconceito e muito mais temas são abordados nessa obra. Temporada espetacular, recomendo a todos que deem uma chance a obra, apesar de ter uns momentos que são sim muito vergonha alheia, essa obra consegue ser maravilhosa naquilo que se propõe, viva o anime dos furrys kkk.

The first season of Beastars was an intensely dramatic romance between Legoshi and Haru - the forbidden love affair between a wolf and a rabbit, whose natures are supposed to drive them towards an existential predator vs prey dynamic. It was fascinating, navigating this conflict with the characters together and wondering whether they would be able to work this conflict out, in the end. Now, two seasons later, the original hook - the romance - feels like it has been completely forgotten by the writers. Haru is barely even in the show anymore. She shows up for one episode and then disappears again except for ... brief cameos here and there. Much of the runtime is spent with the lion mafia, whose presence seems insignificant at best and like filler content at worst. And while the season's new villain would be fascinating and enjoyable in any other show, I must it I cannot bring myself to care about him or his conflict with Legoshi while he takes away attention from what I feel like used to be the main focus of the show.

I don't want to be one who dislikes the show based on what I wanted it to be, rather than what the author was trying to say with the content. However, I don't think I'm being unreasonable for pointing out that the priorities and the character dynamics have shifted since the first season in a way that interests me less. If you were hooked on the political intrigue of the Beastars world from the second season, this season will continue to please. But if you were looking forward to seeing Legoshi and Haru's relationship develop further, episode 7 is the only one that's going to fill that desire.

Also, as many have pointed out, this is only Part 1 of the 2 Part Season Finale. I don't understand why they didn't just call this season 3 and then call Part 2 the "finale." Nothing is wrapped up at the end, it ends with a literal cliffhanger, and I was almost ready to quit Beastars forever.

As usual this season didn’t disappoint, the gang is back and much more suspense all around.
I really loved the storyline being focused on different groups at different points of view, especially Legoshi being a chill guy for everyone.
My most fav moments were the love polygon situations around Legoshi, Haru, Louis & Juno.

Being a great listener to anime songs, the ending theme FEEL LIKE THIS by YU-UKA was really soothing to hear. After the ending theme GENTLE COMET by Yoasobi, this is my next fav from this anime.

Also on the confusion of Beastars Final Season : Epi 12 ending without conclusion. It’s because Netflix has ... announced the Final Season being split into two halves, the first half aired on Dec’24 and the second half on this very year 🤗🤗

Can’t wait to catch on the rest…

It's a romance.

Where as season 1 felt more like a detective series, and 2 felt more action packed, this one feels like a romance. Forbidden love, friendship, bonds in general. And it's really touching to see the characters interact, how they describe their feelings, their thoughts. It feels very poetic in a way.
However if you were invested and liked the previous seasons, you will like this one as well. It's cool to see the characters back from the new seasons and the new characters are pretty interesting as well. You will feel for the characters you know and love once more, and you'll be curious ... about the new ones and feel for them as well.

As for the ending...is this the end? It does say FINAL SEASON. But do not let that title fool you. The story's not yet finished, and I'll be excited for when it arrives.

I'll give it an 8 and once BEASTARS Does officially ends, I will probably rewatch it all. Very likeable characters, no matter the season.

A masterclass in turning a churned-out deadlined manga adaptation filled with inconsistencies and ass-pulls into a coherent, actually engaging storyline. Opening rivals that of season one and plotline in general sures the first two seasons. From a finally consistent tonal shift to gripping decisions that make a mountain out of the mangaka's molehill, Beastars's Final Season (Part One) excites me in ways few other animes have recently. It fixes errors while keeping its foundationally revolutionary message at heart. I adore the choices made and appreciate the additions to increase clarity (Kyuu the boxer; Yahya now being front and center; completely revamping Melon's introduction, etc...) A ... few moments I hope they include in the finale: the 701 boys going to B-Strike; Gosha's venom drip through multiple restaurant layers; and ANY scene with Pina please!!! That's all for now darlings, I'll incorporate other snippets I enjoyed as they come.

Beastars, since the first season, evoked a very weird feeling of wanting to explore more and running away from such an abomination. At the same time, it kept implying several sensitive yet harsh realities, be it the symbolic implication of human trafficking, forbidden love, exploration of lust and desires by adolescents, underground world somewhere down there being mangled with the bureaucrats who are supposed to be fighting against them, rehab of SUD (here, meat use disorder, lol) suffering people or the underlying discrimination and prejudice against a certain community of people (there's a lot more, different perspectives would be able to figure that out too). ... I would really like to appreciate the mangaka for being bold about the writing and exploring topics that can give the icks to some people.
But this season's vagueness with the title "Final season" was disappointing. It was expected to finish at episode 12, but it ended with an even more dangerous cliffhanger. Don't know what they intended to accomplish, but the maker's should have mentioned that it is NOT THE FINAL SEASON.
Overall, if you are daring and inquisitive enough, you might try watching Beastars, start to end. But be warned beforehand that it might make you feel "disgusted" many a times. But the writing isn't lacklustre at all, it is highly irable in fact.
