What I meant was that I don't care about the reviews of other reviewers or read them that much; I'm not even really on friendly with almost any of them, and I have a neg opinion or vice versa concerning quite a few of them. The big developers have been shit for quite a while. It was more interesting seeing old games because even when they were "ports" they were often substantially different, and there were way more exclusives. Now you have a lot of the same games on all of the big three and the ports aren't much different. It's very boring. And the vast amount of games are covered by PC alone, especially in the case of Xbox. I think PC and Nintendo used to be the best approach, though Sega was an interesting competitor before they exited the console business, and PS1 and PS2 had a lot of good exclusives. Maybe there are some good LP channels or video essays on old Japanese PC games as a lot of them look really cool, even if many are also probably dated shit.

A lot of his reviews still are and I see him fairly often on older stuff. I actually think the review system is an improvement in many ways, and I get off on saying that it's fine, especially after SingleH's (another reviewer) meltdown over it. The problem with the old system is that titles were fixed on the front and people would still upvote shit, anyway. Now it's actually possible for new reviews to get a bit more attention. It's not just the one who has the most reactions. There's also a slot determined by ratio and for the newest review. Although I don't really much care about reviews either. I mean, I write reviews myself, but I rarely read other people on here, except for friends.

Yeah, Soyny sucks now. No surprise there at all. Oh, cool. I haven't tried these OSTs before. It's interesting to compare them to the different computer versions.

This is the only I've had, so I've never conversed with any of the older s that went inactive before 2022. I've talked to a few other big reviewers (I probably wouldn't know of them unless they're reviewers) from the years before, but I don't really have much of an interest in them. I think Panda really thinks that, but he plays up the absurdity to leave those who aren't on board questioning. I've seen a lot of people write similar things about slavery themes in other titles but without his kind of trollish style. His slave review makes me wish I could play one of those farming games like Stardew Valley and have it patched where I can have slaves managing the farm for me.

I see, Asterix sounds pretty unique for the period. Makes me kind of curious what differed about their approach. I liked this more classical styled OST. The composer isn't Japanese, but the game is (actually, thought this was a European game when looking it up, but it's Tengen).

Yeah, come to think of it, I haven't really even played many games that Follin composed other than Silver Surfer. Which is a tedious game from what I . I wouldn't want to play many of these games that he worked on. Most of the potentially more tolerable ones are Amiga or Commodore ports. I like his Ghouls'n Ghosts, but I've never played those versions; same with Bionic Commando. I think the Equinox score was really atmospheric, but I got stuck in the game quickly. Wasn't Solstice consider somewhat of a minor classic? I'm probably confusing it with something else because it's a prequel to the rather weird Equinox. Oh, Umineko does have a nice OST. Guess the manga would be pretty sucky as a pick.

Yeah, I first got on here when Panda was still reviewing, and I can't say I miss him now that he hasn't been around much. I seeing many that were also completely wrong or misunderstood, or he just complains about something "rapey" or whatever. I believe he also roleplays as a panda sometimes. XD

I can understand how frustrating it can get, we get this with the summers here where i live, where sometimes they last like 8 months. Plus the european winters are pretty depressing, so the cold probably feels a bit like they're continuing, even if it's all green now. I read about the arctic blasts, but i didn't think it'll be this bad in may there @10 deg.
