Story – 10/10
Attack on Titan delivers one of the most original and gripping narratives in anime history. Its premise—humans surviving behind walls while monstrous Titans threaten their existence—is not only unique but endlessly intriguing. The pacing is well-balanced, never feeling too fast or too slow. As someone who hasn’t read the manga, I found the story easy to follow yet full of unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Each episode built suspense and curiosity, pushing you to keep watching. The resolutions were deeply satisfying, and the plot unfolded in a way that felt both magical and ... purposeful.

Characters – 10/10
The character development in this anime is outstanding. The core trio—Eren, Mikasa, and Armin (often referred to as the EMA trio)—carry the emotional weight of the story with strength and sincerity. Watching these young characters endure military training and the harsh realities of war is heartbreaking, yet inspiring. Armin, in particular, stood out for me. His growth from a timid strategist to a courageous protector of his friends was incredibly moving. The relationships in this series are deeply meaningful, making you root for them not just as fighters, but as people. You can’t help but wish they could stay together forever.

Animation – 9/10
While not entirely flawless, the animation is impressive. There were moments where it felt a little plain, but overall, the visuals effectively captured the dark, intense atmosphere of the series. The art style complements the mood perfectly—gritty, dramatic, and emotional. The design of both characters and backgrounds is exceptional, with locations inspired by real-world places like German cities, adding a sense of realism. Mikasa, in particular, is beautifully animated, with a clear reflection of her Japanese heritage.

The soundtrack composed by Hiroyuki Sawano is phenomenal—his music injects life into every battle, every emotional scene, and every plot twist. The voice acting is also top-tier. Eren’s Japanese voice actor, in particular, delivers a powerful and expressive performance. The background music intensifies the emotion of each scene, and the opening and ending themes are unforgettable. Each song is distinct and fits the tone of the series, standing apart from typical action anime soundtracks.

This anime hits hard, emotionally and mentally. It constantly challenged my thoughts and made me imagine what I would do in such a desperate world. The pain of losing loved ones, the struggle to survive, and the burden of fighting at such a young age were all presented in a raw and thought-provoking way. It explores profound themes like sacrifice, loyalty, fear, and freedom. The series doesn't just entertain—it makes you reflect.

Enjoyment – 10/10
Despite its heavy and often traumatic themes, I thoroughly enjoyed Attack on Titan from beginning to end. The story is so compelling that it's hard to stop watching once you begin. While I may not rewatch it due to the emotional weight it carries, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bold, intense, and original anime—especially if you're unspoiled and ready for a wild ride. Hats off to the entire production team; the level of effort, detail, and ion that went into this series is evident in every frame.

I have watched many shows, I have watched many shows that were bad, I have watched many shows that were utter garbage.

I, however, have never watched a show that has gotten me more upset than this dumpster fire. With every ing episode i could feel myself hating every single character in this show more and more. I never wanted to punch a protagonist as much as this walking nightmare of a human being... After watching this i turned on redo of healer and thought "damn, what a nice guy this protagonist is."

Every single episode is an absolute nightmare that drags you deeper and deeper ... into the abyss. Every single episode you will think to yourself "this is the worst shit i have ever seen" and then you will that theres still way too many episodes left, that you just know will somehow make all of this even worse. (And don't even get me started on the manga, that for some dumb reason you will still read and that you will hate even more.)

All in all this is probably the worst show i have evern seen and nothing about it is enjoyable whatsoever.

This second season arrived improved from the first . All around the board that is.

The fighting animation especially looked really good. If there's a complaint ... alot of the newly introduced characters aren't really used enough . Other then that i can't find anything to complain about . In particulary on the story side. You'd expect these sorta game adaptations to leave you with alot of the mystery just to entice you into playing the actual game, a sort of bait and switch situation. But not in this one. It wasn't ALL explained sure, but it was more then enough for a satisfying end to ... the anime.

Same as the first season, i recommended this one. It's a very well made game adaptations that isn't just fluff to promote . It was clearly made with care and alot of work went into it. I recommended especially if you liked the first season, since once again, this improves on everything .

The movie was a let down. I get it fit in all the info and scenes in about 2 hours is insane to ask but why skip so much. The art was beautiful but because they made it a movie so many things were lost and taken out. Let's say you're a new viewer interested in watching it since it's a cult classic thinking it will suffice since people might like old animation (its not everyone's cup of tea i like it but i digress) This movie, it's with beautiful animation but then you don't actually get the full story and ... plot holes everywhere. People will think that The Rose of Versailles is bad and people over hype it....

I've avoided watching this anime for a long time. I'm a big time travel fan, I think time travel anime has insane potential and there have been absolute time travel bangers and I made it a rule to watch every big time travel anime, but Summertime Render, everything I saw about it, the posters, the premise, nothing made me want to watch it.

But BOY was I wrong. So, so very wrong. This anime is a masterpiece. Like a genuine masterpiece. Well, ok, maybe not, but it's really fucking good. Like REALLY good. If I was to summarize it, it's ReZero but not stupid. And it's ... a full complete story, with a beginning and end in 25 episodes. It also has a better protagonist.

The mysteries are slowly revealed over the course of the story with new context added to past events, as you'd expect from a time travel anime, characters are fun, enjoyable, and maybe most important of all, they do a lot of things with the plot that you wouldn't expect. Some things you can predict, like in most stories, but other things, they don't go for the obvious. Even more, they kinda "subvert expectations" a bit but in a good way. Especially with the ending. You could say "well that's just how time travel anime works", and yes, I agree, that's why it's so good!

I'm not saying it's flawless, some characters make little sense, some story parts are ridiculous, the ending is kinda rushed, but still, the overall package is amazing. Especially compared to some other stuff that is out there.

And a great 10/10 waifu to boot.

First of all: I like this anime. But I can not generally recommend it. This anime is very niche.

The story of the anime itself is explained very briefly. We follow MC mangaka Chica on her various journey around japan, mostly together with some of her friends. Along with her journeys we see many breath-taking landmarks and some few insights about their personalities itself. The time between her journeys is mostly shown with 2 scenes: Chikas rarely succesful submit of a manga storyboard and her poll for her next destination. That's really all.

At least the personalities of Chika and all of her friends has ... their depths, so it can provide some interesting discussions and nice interactions of the characters. But it can not conceal the lack of story. In the end it is not much more then a 1-dimensional tour across japan.

If you like to see breath-taking sceneries in a peaceful setting like in Laid-Back Camp (Zatsu Tabi got obviously inspired by Laid-Back Camp) you can try this anime. This is the perfect anime to just watch, enjoy, and putting off your brain. On the one hand there are no scenes, where you have to think. On the other hand, there are no bad jokes which attacks your sense of humor. Just get washed over by some nice story-poor pictures.

After the latest episode, I had an epiphany:

Whoever's behind this work has attempted an Oregairu on us.

And what do you know, over the years I've grown to hate the Oregairu-type plot with a burning ion.

If you didn't know what Oregairu is, its full name is "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru", and it's a (now finished) long-running show that has multiple seasons with the final season ended a few years ago. I *do* recommend you to watch Oregairu, however, because it *do* give you the most basic amount of enjoyment from time to time, and despite the core motif of its later part ... (as well as certain characters in the show; if you know you know) gradually gears toward being painful to watch, it do be a slow-burn process (which smooths out some rough patches in of sentiment), and it do have a half-acceptable resolution.

The show in question, unfortunately, has barely any of that.

The title itself is already a disaster of its own, but judging a title isn't really fair, so we'll put that aside. In short, the premise is bad and really doesn't make any sense (unless it is actually based on real-life events; but then again that would only mean the real-life it's based on barely makes any sense too). The story overall is mid at best, with the amount of development less than your typical highschool romance. The characters are also very bland: for the two girls, if you remove the part of their background setting that's majorly related to the male protagonist, you'd barely have any background setting left; this is not completely unsalvagable if the author is given the chance (either by themselves and whoever's at that kind of position) to fully develop the remaining part, but I personally didn't see much of that in the anime.

Towards the end of the season there was an attempt of introducing a new arc with an antagonist onee-san character and the "co-dependency vs. true love" trope (now you see why I have to mention Oregairu in the beginning); this trope, especially the one between two teenagers, is an easy option for aspiring light novel writers and/or manga artists attempting their first long story because we all had been a good-for-nothing brat at some point, but it is unfortunately also *very* easy to overcook it and turn it into a boring edge-fest; it's not a tool you can use willy-nilly and expect it would magically raise a mid story to a not-so-mid level; the way this is done in this show unfortunately makes the whole thing feel very forced. I haven't read the light novel and I know nothing about the author, but I would say (provided that the anime is being faithful) this is an acceptable debut work and an acceptable debut work only; should the author write more in the future I would expect improvements.

That being said, I *would* watch the remaining episode in the mean time; with how the plot has been developed till now, it's only going to be either mid or edgy; either way, whatever remains is probably only going to be sense of relief instead of satisfaction.

If you ever find yourself not knowing what anime to watch, or maybe feel overwhelmed with you never ending watchlist... it may be time to start where it all started !

Dragon Ball is for animes what Friends was for modern television. It's timeless and could never be imitated thanks to its genius simplicity.

Each arc is iconic, each major fight is memorable, each character finds its way to our heart.

You will laugh, sometimes more than you'll want to it, to lines, jokes and reactions which would probably be cancelled today before you have the time to say ... "Kamehameha !".

In a a generation which has become more and more self conscious, Dragon Ball has become an oasis of no-nonsense.

More importantly, Dragon Ball is a journey. The journey of a little monkey boy becoming the greatest fighter in the universe. No treasure to find, no dream of proving everybody wrong, no deep titan mystery to unravel.

Just a boy fighting for fun and ending up saving the earth every single time.

“Who was it that decided that if you're ugly everybody gets to treat you like dirt?”

Dumplings. They are delicious. One of the best foods on earth. But nobody wants “Dumpling” for a nickname. Lim Jugyeong/Jug is ordinary looking. Her grades are nothing special. She likes heavy metal and horror manga. And she doesn't have one friend. She's an outcast.

Based on a web manhwa, TB is a 2024 Studio N, Cocktail Media Studios release. It is 1 season consisting of 13 19-minute English dubbed episodes with CC available. A 2nd ... season has been announced, but there are no details about it yet. TB is so Korean. That's a good thing. It was made into a Kdrama of the same name in 2020. Rated around an 8 between IMDb and MDL, it's 16 60-minute episodes, and the two leads are human specimens. I haven't seen it yet, but it's in the queue. This version of TB is rated 6.60 on MAL and 6.7 on IMDb. It's not the first romance rated in the 6's that is undervalued, imo. If you like romances, this is easily better than a 6. It is well conceived and written, the art is seamless, and it is a solid love story. Sure, there's some familiar formulas, but that doesn't matter much if the execution is good. The biggest drag on the show is how Jug is alittle too frantic. I wasn't crazy about her English voice portrayal. When I watch it again I'll probably try the Korean voice actors because I adore the Korean language. The art is good. People are drawn with old-style round eyes and simple features in standard fashion. Backgrounds are faded, low detail, and very much relegated to the background. The focus is on the characters here.

We're in HS. A misunderstanding leads to a mini cat fight with another girl. Unfortunately, it's enough to get Jug transferred to another school. Her mother wants her to make a fresh start.

Not one to be optimistic, Jug doesn't want to start over. She stumbles onto a makeup tutorial video and practices the craft. The results aren't half bad! When she shows up at her new school, everyone wants to know who the /pretty/ girl is. Actually, now she's getting too much attention. It's too bizarre. “Let's go have some lunch. I think they have dumplings today!” Jug has friends now, but just that word is still a trigger for Jug. .She feels like a fraud! If anybody finds out what she really looks like, if anybody discovers that she's actually ugly, it's all going to be over.

If she was that worried about being discovered, she never should have left the house without her makeup on, right? But that new manga volume is out. She read the previous volume 💯×s just waiting for this new release. So she goes to the bookstore, unadorned, and has a fight with a beautiful boy (Suho) over the last copy. He actually seems to know more about the story than she does! They did a rapid fire quiz back and forth to test each other's knowledge. He's the one who walked away victorious. The very next morning at school, there HE is, walking the halls 😬. He didn't recognize her. Whew!

Yikes! They keep running into eachother. Her friends have friends who are friends with him. Next thing she knows, he's at her lunch table. “Have we met before?” It's happening. He sees something familiar. She flat-out denies it.

Her life as master of disguise needs a little work, though. When he hands her the limited edition missing earbud that she dropped at the bookstore that night, it can't be denied: The beauty and the bookstore nerd are the same girl. Suddenly, she's his errand girl. That's how she's buying his silence. From the outside, they look like a couple.

Eventually, Jug notices other lost girls in need of help and reaches out in kindness. Every woman and girl should be equipped to look her best! Then, she's nominated for high school goddess. She knows she doesn't compare to the other candidates, especially the true goddess, Kang Sujin. E'erthing about that girl is perfect. Jug intends to withdraw as the contest is way too much spotlight for somebody with a big secret. However, the girls in her department see it as some kind of collective validation. They've rallied behind her and are ready to start a big campaign. This is their time in the ☀. She can't figure out a way to exit quietly into the night.

All this while, Suho is hovering around. He's slightly less demanding, of late, but still quite irritating. Also, a second student has seen her without makeup! Han Seojun is a new transfer. He found her wallet when she dropped it at the fast food restaurant. When he sees her at school he comments that she looks familiar and asks if they've met? ‘Of course not,’ she responds. Another wrinkle is how Seojun and Suho appear to be enemies: Long standing ones. They knew eachother before. Seojun dislikes Jug Because he believes she's Suho's girlfriend. He softens on her after she helps his sister, Han Gowoon. Soon, he /really/ softens on her as fate keeps winking at Jug and giving her a slap on the back side. She randomly draws Seojun's name as her portrait assignment. They end up spending time together. Adrenaline-filled time - he drives a rice🏍rocket. Jug will never get the tangles out of her hair.

In the background, Jug has an enemy. #1 school goddess, Sujin, has a crush on Suho. She wants to destroy Jug. Sujin sets her traps, but Suho ends up rescuing Jug (with the help of Seojun) and their bond increases. This all spurs Jug to want to win the high school goddess contest. Sujin isn't a goddess. She doesn't deserve the title: Sujin is a devil. Jug becomes so focused on Sujin that she doesn't notice she's involved in her own love triangle. Suho and Seojun have found yet another reason to be enemies. They both like Jug.

One reason that Jug has not noticed that these hunks like her is that it's never occurred to her before that a guy /could/ like her. Another reason is that she's busy with her new friends. Jug has made TRUE friends. Sua Kang, Han Gowoon, and Chaerin Ahn are her gang and she treasures them. What will they think when they find out the “truth” about her? Jug has to come clean.

“Why do the hottest guys always have the ugliest attitude?” Bullying, mean girls, shallow values, exterior appearances, and gossip are on display. “As an actor, I understand how nice it is to be able to turn into someone else every now and then,” Drama Club veteran, Suho, acknowledges. However, he doesn't see much difference between plain Jug and made up Jug! So he claims. His vision has gone beyond the exterior. He sees her for her, and he did the first time they met. True beauty comes from within. There's a few women out there who don't “need” makeup. That's a rare thing. Most women look better with cosmetics and they've been applying it since ancient times. There's always a tension between how things should be and how things are. Outward appearances shouldn't be how we're judged, solely. However, we should all make an effort to be our best and look our best. It's a matter of outward respect and inward dignity. Everyone has to find their comfort zone. These things have to be balanced. Somebody who's obsessed with just physical appearance is going to be a horrible, shallow person. Somebody who thinks physical appearance deserves no attention is self-absorbed and deluded.

TB is more about /True Growth/ than anything else. Jug fixed her outside… but she didn't fix anything, because it was the /inside/ that needed fixing. No matter what she looks like, she still believes she's ugly. Much worse than that, however, is that she believes that's where her self-worth abides - in her exterior wrapping. It's actually preposterous, if one looks at it from a merely logical point of view. Looks don't have staying power, and the looks of a person change as one gets to know them better: Plain people may become beautiful and beautiful people could become disgusting when the outside gives way to the inside. Furthermore, when we're talking about long-term strategy, looks don't last. If you are beautiful to someone from the inside then you will be beautiful to them forever. Isn't that the ideal?

TB is mostly about True Love. He saw her when she was plain and he liked her anyway. At the end of S1, these two still haven't had a chance to date. Suho has to leave the country for a family emergency. Jug doesn't know when he'll come back. Seojun, at least in part, hopes he never does.

A surprisingly good show.

Coming into this show, I had the idea that this was going to be the generic villainess story with the MC being OP and showing up the "Heroes", and while that did happen at first, there are considerable developments that stray away from the formula. And while it's definitely not amazing at it, it dives into the political aspect of being an OP noble by exploring how the different factions of the kingdom seek to gain favour. I also enjoy the MC (The villainess) herself, seeing how she interacts with noble life and how she handles social situations provides decent comedy.

The ... show isn't without its flaws. I found the ing cast weak. Without getting into too much detail, the main love interest is somewhat generic and lacks interest. It also tapers off at the end, the first 5 episodes.

It's definitely no Godfather II, but it's a decent watch if you are bored and crave more Isekai villainess goodness.

one of the best and worst animes ive ever watched. the animation, style, designs, audio, and fights are all amazing and are entirely the reason i would recommend it to anyone, even if everything else was an absolute slog. the plot/writing is terrible, but what is really the worst thing about it is the antagonists, i don't know if i have ever seen or read anything with a more boring main antagonist... this is, for me, absolutely the worst anime everyone needs to watch. one thing that made this stand out from many other militaryesque anime is not having german themes for the main plot/characters ... which got really tiring. its cool to see how they portray different countries and parts of Christianity.

Blue Box is a slow-burn slice-of-life romance that stands out for its emotional realism and gentle storytelling. What starts as a typical “crush on my senpai” setup quickly shifts into something deeper and more grounded. The story doesn’t rely on overused tropes or forced coincidences, even when the main characters begin living under the same roof—it handles these situations with surprising maturity and subtlety.

Taiki, the main character, is kind-hearted, patient, and genuinely ive—not just toward his crush, Chinatsu, but also his friend Hina, whose quiet strength and emotional growth are beautifully portrayed. Chinatsu feels like a real person, focused on her goals, yet quietly forming ... a bond with Taiki that is soft and unspoken. The presence of sports adds a refreshing drive to the story and gives the characters something to strive for beyond romance.

Every character has their own depth, even the ing ones—like the calm, understanding Taki's friend was, who always knows what to say. The pacing can feel slow at times, but that slowness adds to the realistic charm, making each connection feel earned rather than rushed.

Blue Box doesn’t scream drama or fantasy—it whispers growth, warmth, and emotional honesty. A beautiful watch if you're looking for romance that feels human.

Summertime Render – An Underrated Masterpiece That Redefines a Plot Twist

Probably the best show I’ve watched in recent years.
Summertime Render is a rare gem that left me completely speechless. From the very first episode, I was pulled into a mystery so intricately crafted that I found myself constantly guessing—only to be outwitted again and again. The storytelling is on another level; it doesn’t just unfold—it explodes, taking twists and turns that are executed with mind-blowing precision.

The plot twists aren’t just surprising—they’re smart, emotional, and purposeful. Every detail matters, every scene holds weight, and the pacing never falters. Just when you think you understand what’s going ... on, the story shifts in a way that’s both shocking and satisfying. This is narrative craftsmanship at its finest.

And let’s talk about the romance—beautifully subtle, deeply felt, and perfectly portioned. It never overshadows the main plot, but instead enhances it, giving the characters emotional depth and human connection that make the stakes feel even higher.

Summertime Render is an underrated masterpiece—the kind of show that deserves far more recognition than it gets. It’s the perfect blend of mystery, sci-fi, emotion, and psychological intensity. If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re missing out on something truly special.

Meruem x Komugi is the greatest [spoiler] ever told in anime and for that reason alone, hunter x hunter is a must watch, for anyone! The extreme care put into the characters persona and motivation, how the author is respectful with the HxH universe, how intelligent are the puzzles... The author invented a whole board game just to be able to tell a history. How much commitment is that!? One thing that I don't hear often about HxH is how it treats and presents the feelings the characters feel. It often feels so real you can feel it across the screen.
The absolute fear ... of death. The absolute trust towards another. The unshakable respect that twists very reason. Love beyond self.
If you're reading this and you know exactly which scene these sentences refer to, well, you have watched HxH correctly.

Now, the main issue with HxH is that it ends. Literally. The anime stops way before the manga and leaves a lot of open ends that might Hunt the fans, maybe forever. Well. Times like these, you need to show your resolve and jump in because even though you know it will not be enough, not having any is even worse.

...And this is why I don't japanese anime movies.

This shit is depressing as fuck. It literally crushes your heart. Fuck me if I ever watch another anime movie, If I'm not seeing samurai chopping each other in the poster. Happy ending? I don't really think that was a happy ending. The girl got de-published and shit because of her love for the dude. Bro lost 13 years. He literally missed all the bitcoin investment dash, now he warped to 2015 something with no skill and no money or whatsoever. Let me tell you what, if this movie had a second, it would about these ... guys modern overcoming hardship all the while staying true to thier love.

Recommended.

This season of Dr. Stone was an improvement compared to the previous seasons. While the scientific elements remain a core part of the show, they’ve been dialed back slightly to make room for a stronger narrative focus. The characters have gained some depth, though many still feel confined to their roles that were established earlier. Where the season truly shines is in its plot progression. Earlier seasons often felt like watching a science themed sandbox game like Minecraft, but this time, the story digs deeper into the mysteries of the stone world. While the first two seasons laid shaky groundwork, this season finally offers answers ... that feel rewarding. Although Dr. Stone still falters with character design, the show continues to captivate with its sense of discovery, making this season a step in the right direction.

Sparrow's Hotel is a fun, fast-paced romp that gives off this atmosphere of something that should have aired on Adult Swim- sharp, witty, fast-paced, and absurd. The story is built upon a strong premise with a lot of iterative potential- a group of people working in a hotel, each one with quirks and oddities that set them apart from one another. Namely, you have Satou, a femme fatale former assassin who uses her proficiency for violence to protect the hotel from troublemakers. Though she is pretty funny, I actually prefer the rest of the cast, like the petite yet business-minded Tamaki Shiokawa, her obsessive older ... brother simply named Shiokawa, the inept internal company spy Yuu, or Misono, the longsuffering part-timer. Each episode covers a kind of story that could only really be told in the context of running a hotel, and provides comedy at a nice pace from start to finish. My favorite episode of the whole run was Episode 9, where they host a con, and have to navigate the chaos that inherently comes with such a venture.

Next, the art is a strange beast. At first, it looks like genuine garbage, as though it was put together in flash or something, given that it looked flat, stilted, and amateurish. However, by episode 7, when they change the OP, and Misono inexplicably becomes blonde, the whole art style suddenly changes, and the production values shoot through the roof. The whole thing all of a sudden looks so crisp and professional, and it uses this bizarre improvement to the full extent of its potential, making for a second half that is far superior to the first.

The sound has a more consistent quality throughout, with good pacing and a sense of how to match the energy of a given moment, with music that is good yet not distracting.

The characters are the real strong point of this anime, however, as the cast feels like it has such natural chemistry despite the whole show only being about 36 minutes total. Of them, my favorites are definitely Tamaki Shiokawa, the dedicated manager of Sparrow's Hotel, and Misono, the withdrawn yet witty part-timer who is more often than not stunned by the absurdity of the things that go on at his place of work. Shiokawa is great as a kind of central point between the whole cast, and her capability to control the situation when contrasted with her stature makes her witty retorts all the more funny in context. Meanwhile, Misono is a normal guy that only wants to get through his shifts, but he regardless finds himself caught up in the antics at hand, and even finds that these people he works with are his only real friends- once again, it is the contrast he represents that elevates his comedy. Overall, even with the issues it has with production for the first half, Sparrow's Hotel is a fun romp of an anime that's well worth the minimal time investment required to watch it.

Opinion - I hated every single second watching this trash. I absolutely loved the original show , watching this trash ruined the entire series for me. Oh boy! It's awful awful awful awful. If you enjoyed the original show please skip this 4 episode ova series. Too many deeply problematic sequences , se#ual harras#ent , stal*ing , ev* teas*ng all being ed off as comedy and plot device was painfully to sit through. Please skip this sh*t and save your time.

Animation - It was decent according to mid 2000s standards. Thank god there is no usage of ugly CGI.

Story - Just randomn shit happening ... for 30mins. Nothing significant. Deeply problematic.

I strongly believe that no sensible human being will enjoy this show.

If you want a hyper-compressed version of everything that has happened up to episode 11 while listening to Futari roast the hell out of her sister, then sure, watch this. There's no real reason not to. The only issue that I have is that it is stupidly difficult to find a place to watch this on. Like seriously none of the major streaming services have this. Honestly though, this is just a filler episode that's only good if you want to 100% BTR, if you want a real recap of the series just watch the movies. They have way more content, original scenes, and are ... overall just a better summary.

So. I get why everyone here seems to be so hard on this little OVA. It's a weird little two-episode children's show chock full of some of the worst CG ever put to screen, that was only made to push some bizarre Barbie clone. Indeed, that's all it really is. It is a bad, low-quality product. However, the second episode is what gets me- while the first episode follows Mei, a young girl who wants to be more feminine, the second follows Keiichirou, an otaku who collects these dolls. This absurdity is so genuinely hilarious that it shocked me at the very start- I had ... to pause it to brace for what was to come. I won't get into specifics here, but he is just about as much of a menace as you'd imagine he'd be, and not even the characters of Pinky Street really know what to do with him. This is like if MLP had a dedicated episode where a brony was transported into their world for a day, and they were all kinda uncomfortable about it. I guess the folks up at Pinky Street headquarters knew their market well enough to make a dedicated episode for each half of their fanbase- little girls and dudes in their 20s. I cannot emphasize how funny this contrast was, and it is for this reason that I believe the story is the strongest aspect of this title, and also absolutely recommend it- whether or not they meant for this to happen, the people behind this anime have produced comedy gold.

The art is a mixed bag, with that warm yet simple Saturday morning 2000s style reminiscent of Yu-Gi-Oh! for the traditionally animated sections, and CG portions which are lengthy and nauseating, terrible in all respects even for the time it was produced. The CG alone drags it down so much, as it is actually hard to watch, especially when they cynically repeat animations despite the whole anime only having a run time of 24 minutes or so. How many corners do you really have to cut if your whole anime is under half an hour? I get this is made for kids, but that's insulting, even to them.

The sound is unremarkable, with a grating looped track that plays during the CG portions. However, the VA work was pretty good, as the genuinely unsettled reactions from the various characters at Keiichirou and his antics are pretty great.

As for the characters themselves, they're all pretty generic, serving the roles that are required of them throughout, with the sole exception of Keiichirou. He provided such a hilarious and absurd contrast in the second episode that he made this OVA worth watching, and as such he is easily my favorite character here. Overall, Pinky Street is supposed to be a cynical boilerplate moneygrab designed to push product, and in many ways it is, but it is also a hilarious look at certain aspects of Otaku culture from an angle rarely explored. As such, for this anime's brief runtime and the second episode's potent comedic absurdity, I definitely recommend Pinky Street for the spectacle alone.

Ooya-san wa Shishunki, or, Landlord is in Puberty!, despite taking place in the same world as the related anime Komori-san Can't Decline!, lacks a lot of the cohesiveness and overall potential that Komori-san has throughout. The core difference here is that Komori-san knew what it wanted to be from the very start, and in a format where you only get a few minutes per episode, that kind of clearheaded decisiveness about your premise is absolutely essential. Indeed, it is this essential quality that this anime lacks in particular. While Komori-san is a fun story about friendship and fitting in despite your differences (with only mild ... fanservice), Landlord is in Puberty! is completely unable to make that choice. Is it a cute story about found family, where the middle-school landlady Chie finds parental figures in the tenants Maeda and Reiko, who help her navigate school, pack lunches, and start clubs? Or does Maeda want to FUCK Chie?? This show doesn't seem to be sure. It is this confusion that limits the show, as it seems to want both of these things to be true and asserts at the same time that they cannot be. So, like oil and water, we get a confused mix. Honestly, if they picked a lane and just went with it, this show would have felt way more cohesive and would have netted a better score. This is disappointing, because there's so much of that humor and wit here that makes Komori-san such a delightful anime, especially by comparison. That's all to be said of the story, so let's move on to the art.

The art, much like this anime's related project, is clear and colorful and high-quality throughout, with fast-paced, fluid animation, and a kind of high-energy expressiveness that enhances the comedy throughout.

The sound is also very much the same as the other title, nailing the voice work and musical accompaniment for a zany, frantic comedy with episodes that are only a few minutes a piece.

The characters are probably the strongest aspect of the story, as they are individually all quite entertaining, and they play off well together as a kind of found family. Though, of course, this show's hesitation as to which direction it wants to take their relationship leaves things feeling vague and awkward throughout. Overall, Ooya-san wa Shishunki! is an anime that could have measured up to the other project in its universe, but failed to start out with a clear idea of exactly what it wanted to be, and as such, it nets a lower score, even with its visually pleasing production style.

Terrible, it only has sex and doesn't even explain, it's just free porn for everyone to see. MY preference is to watch Yuri hentais with a story, people with the same preference as me will HATE this hentai in every possible way. The synopsis may be simple, but the anime didn't even do the work of making something good, it's just- Just nothing??? The animation is basic, but for a hentai anime it's okay, and the drawing style is also kind of basic but it's nice (But it's still VERY, but VERY basic.) .The detail is that one of the characters seems to be there ... just to encourage sex and she has no personality (Mai), unlike the other character (Reo), who even though she doesn't have any depth, she at least has A STITCH of personality, unlike the other one. Only sex, without story

Episode 1 is terrible but the rest is pretty good. So just skip EP1 and watch from EP2.

Episode 1 is bad because it is a badly forced tragedy. Normally for a tragedy to happen there is a bad guy to cause it, but that is not the case here. Everyone is normal, which makes the main character and the childhood friend look braindead. Thus the tragedy feels very forced by the author, like everything could have been avoided if the MC and childhood friend had functioning brains. It feels like a badly written soap drama plot where bad things only happen because the characters ... are unbelieveably stupid.

Good thing is the rest of the episodes have almost nothing to do with EP1, as it is more like a backstory than a start. So please just start watching from EP2 where it is made up of short stories and actually gets good.

This is a good critique of modern anime, with it all being pretty generic nowadays, and it can be quite funny occasionally. However, the main joke of the series is that he's facing really strong enemies and he isn't taking them seriously, because of how overwhelming strong he is; I hope you like this joke because IT'S EVERY FRICKING EPISODE. Big generic monster comes, "Bahhahah, I will take over the world!" then some slightly comical things happens while he 's there and then he beats them with "one punch" hence the title. It's ridiculousness is quite enjoyable, but boy does it get repetitive, every time ... without failure, if you don't find this series funny then don't watch it because it's not deep stories and interesting characters as it presents itself but a comedy, super overrated as usual but I feel I have a unusual sense of humour so perhaps this show is simply not for me. Overall, if you find the comedy funny then watch it, it's a show for you. If you're looking for strong writing and deep characters then look elsewhere as this is more for those who want a breath of fresh air from the constant over the top same concepts that keep getting approved for some reason.

Well, what can I say? It's more Isekai Quartet. The bantering between the characters is still fun, and it just gives off those positive vibes. Everyone, maybe outside of Naofumi, is full of personality, and it's a pleasure to watch.

Sadly, it has also become quite stale. Since it's a spinoff featuring characters from different IPs, it can't do much on its own and is heavily dependent on introducing new characters to maintain its entertaining aspect. And well, this movie doesn't add many of them. Because of that, and the very predictable plot, the second half of the movie suffers a lot. We get the ... whole picture rather soon, and spend an hour on pretty boring fights and overused jokes. It never becomes bad per se, but rather monotonous.

This anime is essentially just a filler to the time between the actual canon stories, whose release schedule is really bad. We will get Cid in season 3 before my beloved Tanya gets her sequel, what a disgrace. But well, I'm looking forward to new additions to the show regardless

The story of Sodachi and her relationship with Araragi was one of the best parts of the entire Monogatari series.

It's a shame that the whole thing wasn't kept in this tone - no fanservice, but well-handled, non-obvious puzzles. The best (or worst) thing is that I just realized how much this series has a problem with exposition - the characters just monologue for 5-10 minutes, explaining everything to the viewer, but the non-chronological narrative and the rather convoluted way of telling the story, straight from NGE or Serial Experiment Lain, make it take a lot of attention to figure out what's going on.

I stumbled upon this anime while scrolling through the currently airing shows. I was surprised to see a show with no ratings, synopsis, or reviews, even though it's been "currently airing" for the past two months. Then I noticed the episodes were 42 seconds long...?

Looking up the title online, I was able to find this plot:

This seems more like an art project than an anime. Not sure why it's even on MAL. Rating this 2 as I'm not really a fan of the final product, and this isn't even an anime.

I've never wrote a review for any piece of media or game, but this anime has brought me here to do so for the first time.
Summertime render is a mystery action packed anime filled with moments that will have you leap off your seat. Every episode comes with a twist like no other. After each episode you are left wanting more, speed clicking to the next episode to see where these intense thrills lead you next. The amount of times I've paused because I've figured out and realized something brings a whole new level of engagement to watching this series. When I finished episode one, ... I was reeled in by the sheer shock factor and twists that were packed into one episode. It gave the same thrill of watching Re:Zero for the very first time. There was never a dull moment in this series and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who loves a good thrilling story, with death note level moments, and action to back up the exhilarating story. The pacing increased a ton throughout the series to perfectly encapsulate the plot. The theme of time travel was perfectly used throughout the series which many anime fail to do. The emotional impact was phenomenal, the final episode felt like a reward. If I were to wait about 3-4 years and come across this anime again, I wouldn't fail to rewatch it in a heartbeat, and I may even realize some foreshadowing I missed in the very beginning of the series.

Story: 10/10 The story reeled me in from the very first episode which many anime and even shows fail to do. The well thought out story makes sure there was never a dull moment in every episode and cliffhangers to leave you on the edge of your seat.

Characters: 10/10 The characters are so full of life and have so much depth and emotion. Shinpei and Ushio's dynamic was very fun to experience and Nagumo was a hell of a character.

Music/Sfx: 10/10 The music was absolutely amazing with two banger openings and endings. The ost's always paired well with the scenes and the Sfx gave me Re:Zero vibes at times.

Animation: 10/10 The animation fit snugly with the whole premise of the show, the facial expressions and fluidity were done perfectly when needed to be, and the fight scenes amazed me as I did not expect it from this show with first impressions.

Overall score: 10/10 I couldn't find another anime that does it better than this. Everything about it from the story, to the characters etc. All of it was incredible to experience, and I hope another anime learns from it and implements this level of thought to a piece of work.

Saw a few eps so far and recommend it the fl lead Sophia gets the gorilla god's blessing and obviously is not the most happy about it and ends up giving a knight exam and ing .

As story progresses she learns how nice the power is .

The FL is well written why because see it's frustrating to see a weak fl but at same time instead of being just dumb or weakling sophia is a little sensible she Overthinks situations a little and anytime she hesitates it's due to the understanding of other person 's reason behind that action and while ... at first it may seems annoying that why is she not using her power Sophia is not misusing her power she understands others pov she is a more realistic fl who is considering situations and is puzzled and unable to take decision due to that but unlike other fls .

Sophia is clear about her feelings she doesn't let petty bullying get to her she trusts others easily but she realises their behaviour . Like when the other girls are angry at her she knows it's due to her being close to the hot guys at the school talking only to her which makes sense that if there's handsome boys and they're friends and talk with only one girl they're bound to be jealous.

Sophia is the one who wants a quiet life obviously she won't live quietly but she over the series Takes action when needed she waits for right opportunity and time she understands others feelings well and has good heart . Sophia is the kind of fl who understands, thinks , and while she appears weak despite power she simply uses her power when needed - like the bomb incident or when she helped the doggy powered boy from his fear of height and saved his life or when she later in an episode saves Eddy .

I love how the Male charachters are written in this story omg in most stories where the fl has more than 1 male friends it turns into a harem competition or jealousy competition each episode which becomes annoying but This anime no no you have male charachters so well written.

The ml is clear from the start is your this guy whose a knight and he does not discriminate or gets petty jealous when other boys are more powerful or near fl . He encourages and compliments the boys on their good work .
• He is not like the strict face egoistic ml who acts tough but rather a knight who takes his duty seriously while also spending time with his friends.

• the confession will also come sooner in story which I love most stories go for the ml or fo being dumb who can't figure out their feelings or talk it out but not this one you've 16yr old being honest to themselves and confessing their feelings .

I love this anime because nothing is overdone at start fl seems annoying but later she adapts with her blessing and becomes strong .

The cheap bully like girl villian also apologise or realise their bad behaviour and that when they went to far a lot of story shows girls not realising that they were going to far which clearly you can tell they knew they were crossing boundaries and I love our fL while forgiving them and accepting their apology doesn't immediately go super friendly with them .

Our fl values her peaceful life plan and maintains her knight and student life separately.

Both fl and Ml are not this toxic jealousy dynamic who get jealous when the other talks to other gender which is so good because guys let's normalise people in relationship having other gender friend y'all behave as if talking= cheating.

The charachters are written so well honestly the anime shows romantic feelings without adding too much jealousy or males fighting with each other drama .

There's little comedy , romance and everything.

Sophia is the fl who may seem annoying but from her pov she doesn't want attention, her power is one embarassing one and unique for a girl like I have Gorilla 🦍 god's blessing who says that , she didn't want to be a knight but her power she uses it when it comes to helping others her power + kindness is what helps her be so amazing she's a precious fl and the ml and other male charachters are so well written theirs not over jealousy or over possesive ml both charachters behave like actual 16yr old and it's so refreshing to see this anime .

In fantasy superpower romance highschool love story this anime is like a breath of fresh air so simple at times but so nice no dirt no bad written charachters .

The movie "Attack On Titan: The Last Attack" was incredible, and I just finished watching it.

Character development is given in a fantastic way as the series comes to a close thanks to the nearly flawless execution of the plot, characters, and everything building up to the climax.

The fact that they made this movie in the first place makes me very delighted.

Any fan of Attack on Titan should, in my opinion, see this, especially if they can see it in a theater.

I think this movie is deserving of a perfect score. But This doesn't mean that the film is flawless, ... but it will undoubtedly be regarded as a work of fiction and as a fitting conclusion to Attack on Titan's story.

It was good overall but honestly I don't not understand horimiya being so popular everyone says it's amazing and to watch it but the story is very simple nothing really that stands out except charachter dynamics, miyamura is the sensible in relationship and contrary to whatever says I liked miyamura better than hori , hori is this possessive not possessive gf she is good at study and things but is possessive of her bf asks him to do strange things maybe people like that part like mini spoiler she in an episode sniffs miyamura and she can smell other boys or girls scents tbh that ... seemed very strange even comical idk why people like it . To me horimiya is this mix of strange things + bit realistic , I understand people liking S1 but s2 nahi the teacher is this strange guy who likes girl , highschool girls and to me it was just an unnecessary add on done in anime that an adult has to be creepy adult like can teachers never be good in anime or like teachers it's always something like creepy male adult teacher who likes little girls and makes jokes ha ha ha like it's not even funny just ew .
Kyuosuke (hori's dad) : another strange charachter I don't not like , idk but I'm pretty sure both seasons didn't explain much about him being so weird , hum being called by name or being such a weird charachter , I don't understand why people liked him and hori's dynamic so much like except the last episode giving a little past there's nothing nice about him .

Tbh I personally like the side charachters better than the main charachter in horimiya and they do have enough screentime or importance in the story as much as I like story showing other charachters it's just a lot in horimiya to the point I feel like they might better focus on other charachters as they are far more likable .

The red head president - being from a family which has too much expectations of him and him secret dating
His gf - pink girl - being this cutesy ive girl who helps others or wanna be a good friend
Iura - being this talkative funny personality outside and a quiet one at home


I honestly like the side charachters more they're far more realistic and sensible nothing's wrong with it not being realistic but horimiya s2 specially idk why it's soo liked like if someone tells me they only watched S1 or ep 1 and declared it nice it would be understandable but overall horimiya felt so boring at parts and so weird with strange demands from hori of hitting her , sniffing like dog, and the male adults charachter being wierd without any explanation behind hori's dad .

Idk I only watched because even my non interested in romance friends recommended it but to me it's like one of those anime which have some good eps but overall boring episodes with weird mc who somehow is desirable by the audience ( guys don't get me wrong but I'm seriously judging you for asking like a gf like hori irl because she's so weird and normal human girls are not like that pls keep it to fictional crushes ) .

I'm gonna say S1 was better , horimiya is popular but idk find any reasons behind it being so popular like the story nah the story is definitely not the reason it being popular there's better romance animes out there . And side charachters are far better than main Hori especially feels like a good charachter written weird to feel out of ordinary but it only makes her worse .

Uninteresting girls doing uninteresting things. I had higher hopes for an ecchi that was poised, with it's unique and exciting premise, to stand out and be a representative of the last decade of the genre. The art style and character design are superb but the specific things these licentious teenagers get down to are highly limited to the animation budget and I'm assuming the source manga. Putting a hand under clothes? Nope. Licking drool up to the mouth of an entranced Tres Magia member like licking blood off a knife? Nope. Put your dreams away. You'll get the basics as if one just wrote down ... the first things that came to mind after thinking "BDSM." bondage, impact play, tickling, playing doctor, electrocution, but they are only interested in concept, not in execution, which is a strong theme of this show. It draws you in only to leave you emotional disengaged as your disbelief is swiftly reinvoked by what seems to be the work of a mangaka with the sexuality of a robot and no interest in creative writing, only money.

There is a moderate amount of creativity in the powers of these magical girls and their preliminary personalities... for a chuunibyou. The Tres Magia present themselves as well-balanced trio of personality archetypes, but in reality, it doesn't extend farther than their costume design. Sulfur is the only one is at all interesting on her own. Azul reminds of something in between Mio Akiyama and Ais Wallenstein. Tall, academic, stoic, duty-bound, the one who's "good" at things; at least compared to Magenta. It's interesting at first to see her quickly become submissive but she's honestly pathetic and doesn't live up to her image in skill or force of will, she clearly just wants to give up on life and be a doll for Utena, tee-hee. Sulphur and Azul overlap in the proper girl type except that Sulfur's is more agentic and the only one with any kind of sensibilities or reaction to being molested daily. Always focused on only what's important, with a no-bullshit personality, she can be mean at times, with foul language and a superiority complex, making it all the more satisfying to see her in a losing position, which doesn't happen as often as with the other two girls. The redeeming aspect of all this is that it lets you side with the villains more easily, as the Tres Magia might appear to be corrupt idol PR puppets who can't drop the facade of being perfect. As high school girls they really don't seem to be traumatized by the repeated assaults and losses they endure, as if they're 28 years old and have already worn out their sexual sensitivity and modesty, kind of like psychopaths.

Don't expect anything to have real consequences. You'd expect a girl to have sore muscles and be weak and tired after being electrocuted, a perfect way to weaken your opponent to limit the chances of your fun being ruined, or to push them really far, true sadism, but that doesn't happen. You'd also expect the characters to have human emotions in response to the trauma they go through, but not a single line of interesting dialogue comes out of their mouths in response to the events of the show. As well, there's really no rules for the powers of these girls, at times they are insanely overpowered, yet the tides of battle turn only when you're getting to a specific timestamp in the episode, not any good reason. It's also very disappointing that none of the girls are interesting enough to attempt to use their powers in their everyday lives except for when it's almost made of them to do it. We didn't even get 5 minutes of Utena experimenting with her powers, an unabashed shame for how flexible their powers tend to be. What happens if Utena turns a drop of water into a monster, or perhaps a pile of sand? We will never know. They used a flower three times though, at least we know flowers get tentacles! The studio really blew their chance at turning Akihiro Ononaka's unique style into a super popular anime that stands the test of time. I can't recommend this anime if you're looking for anything more than watered down hentai with a slightly interesting premise. It went from "Fuck, it's genius, why didn't I think of that?" to "My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined." It looks like this gem of an idea is going to stay in the rough.

Wasn't a fan, like all anime of it's genre, it has an interesting premise. However, it's just so over the top in it's approach that it just feels like it's trying to be too edgy to differentiate itself from similar overpowered fantasy anime.

I believe the morality of this anime is just bad, I like a little moral complexity in my anime, it felt like I was watching a Dhar Mann video. The villains are to over the top evil that I just found them boring because I knew they were going to suffer in the worst way possible, and I think the worst part ... about it is that they attempt to frame it as the MC being noble because they did a poor job at writing the relationships of some of these characters

Look, if you want a power fantasy and get off on watching evil people suffer, this is for you, but if you want something good, I wouldn't recommend this

The anime is/was a good watch overall. Just like how water is good for you.
If you want more out of the Doctor Elise, aka going out of your way for sparkling water, I recommend you begin reading. It will not disappoint :)

In the world of Isekai which is I am a high consumer of, this one stands out like a lot :). It's unique and original, its fun without being "too in your face".

The art style was beautiful as well, some scenes are generic animations but they went over the top on some scenes; and ... the voice acting is chef's kiss.

As for the characters, I think if this had more episodes we could see how much more vibrant they are. But, overall, they're pretty good.

Overall, I would highly recommend this series to diverse "consumers of media". It is a well rounded story, it had great moments and enjoyable story line. If you want more out of it, if you want to eat the "fruit", more than simply drinking 'good' diluted juice, READ THE MANHWA.

One of my favorite new gen anime when it comes to romance and mystery. Maomao and Jinshi are so much fun to watch ha! Absolutely love the art style, and this season is even better. Loved when Jinshi got upset ahhh adds more to his caring personality. I really connect with the characters a lot especially this season, there is never a moment where I’m bored watching this. Usually, I don’t watch much historical romance or mystery anime’s this specifically piqued my interest and I will not stop recommending it! Such a great watch and I also think it’s great for new anime watchers. I ... also think the art style absolutely goes along with the story, they are honestly so pretty haha Jinshi is absolute perfection as well as maomao!

Well as far as game adaptations this one's easily the best (maybe except some H-game adaptations but those are a story for another time).

The animation is it's best point by far, and that's unusual for adaptations of this kind. If i had one nitpick is that one scene with the knights at the gate... 1 random CGI , they probably ran out of time . The story is not bad..... It's a comedy in the same style like Konosuba,but it has some serious moments,unlike the former. And the plot's decent, as far as what's probably a gacha game that is. Of course when you'd compare ... it to others like FGO who also has adaptations...yeah, that's all imma say.

There's honestly not much to complain about and not much to praise in particular either. It could have been worse it could've been better as well. As far as game adaptations go, it's a good one that in my personal opinion makes me curious about the game. Might try it. AS a watch, i recommend it, it's good enough.

Alright, let’s be honest: this anime has absolutely nothing unique about it. There’s really no reason for anyone to watch it, unless it’s literally your first anime ever—then maybe you’ll enjoy it.

Let’s start with the general idea: the anime is about a protagonist who’s basically the strongest at everything. He never loses, and it all feels extremely forced, like a child writing the plot. It’s basically: “Hmm, let me create an insanely overpowered character who got misjudged during evaluations, haha, I’m a genius.” Even the whole discrimination theme feels incredibly forced and illogical—it makes no sense most of the time.

The only somewhat decent aspect is ... the futuristic setting, with things like a third world war having happened. But even that is nothing that any person couldn’t come up with.

Now, about the characters: they are painfully cliché. You don’t really feel any unique or memorable personality from any of them. It’s either extremely predictable and shallow or just a generic copy of characters you’ve already seen a hundred times before.

As for the soundtrack—it didn’t impress me at all. Usually, I don’t even care much about soundtracks; either it’s amazing, or I just ignore it. In this case, I simply ignored it.

The animation? Completely standard. I don’t put much weight into animation quality because I focus more on the story itself. But still, it’s nothing new or impressive—it’s just the usual, generic anime style.

Now, the pacing and progression: this is one of the anime’s biggest issues. NOTHING RELEVANT EVER HAPPENS. It’s so fixated on the “I’m the strongest” thing that there’s no real story. Nothing progresses. It’s honestly bizarre how bad it is. You might expect that because the anime is fairly short, it would dive deeper into the story or character development—but no. I promise you, almost nothing actually happens. Since the protagonist doesn’t evolve at all, every “difference” is just him explaining what he did, showing it again in slow motion, or someone finally noticing. But none of that shows any real progression. You could easily fit the entire anime into one episode.

Also, it’s worth mentioning the uncomfortable "forced romance" between the protagonist and his sister. It gets slightly less creepy later on, but since it’s never properly explained, it’s just disturbing to watch.

In the end: this anime has a plot that’s, let’s say, “decent” at best, but still feels extremely childish—like something a 7-year-old could come up with. The entire show is so silly that a child could explain the full plot in five minutes. I know I might sound a bit harsh, but imagine I told you there’s an anime that fails at absolutely everything it tries to do—where literally ANY OTHER ANIME you pick will have something better. An anime that no one will ever list as their favorite. And yet, you’re still sitting there watching it. There’s simply no reason in the world to waste time on this anime. Honestly, I’d even say that Dragon Ball Evolution offers more fun or relatable moments than this.

I absolutely love Beserk, but the animation (specifically the weird 3D rotoscope-esque stuff) is terrible and distracting. As a fan of the series, I think non-manga readers will enjoy walk away from this piece feeling confused and without answers. Far too much is left out - if you are interested in Beserk, watch the 1997 series and read the manga. The rating I've given here was elevated primarily by my bias as I was already a fan going into watching this. There are a few scenes I liked, and the non-3D animation was fine. If the entire film was in that style I certainly would've ... rated it much higher. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this, especially not to unindoctrinated viewers.

As everyone knows, OVAs are a brief entertainment and a continuation of the story when a second season is not possible.Well, the anime itself is great, but I thought it ended very open-ended and only now that I discovered there was an OVA did I decide to watch it and it became even more confusing and open-ended. Watching the manga you understand but without addiction.Regarding the episode, it was basic, I thought they dragged it out a lot, especially in the study part, and some of the anime's fanservice scenes were better than the ones that were presented, but apart from that, it was as ... a normal episode final grade 8/10.

rarely does anyone get something right the first time and the ep was no exception, some scenes are strange and the characters' expressions lack fluidity, but this would be a beta test, and for a start it's actually interesting, as it evolves it will get better and better, the artists have a reason to fear the AI, about the story it's basically about 2 NPCs that were created and that ended up bugging everything in the end, a breaking of the fourth wall in a way but within the animation itself, I came to see more out of curiosity but it needs to improve

This movie had big shoes to fill. After all,the novel is a really strong work of sci-fi, and it would be worrying if the anime would the ranks of the Edge of Tomorrow live action as a really bad adaptation of that novel.
It succeeded in doing so. The Visuals are gorgeous. The distinction between the alien and the human elements are perfect.
The VA, despite being composed of a lot of newcomers, was really compelling.
The pacing is set correctly, while conveying properly the frustration of the loops
Now, to address the elephant in the room, the story is a retelling of the novel, with ... some massive changes. However every new element fits. The alien design and behaviour, the way the society functions... someone who read the novel will agree that it fits perfectly with the novel's explanation of the alien behaviour.
I know this was the director's first feature length, and i wish him all the best in future endeavours.

I'll start by saying right away, THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE ANIME, if you came for the romance you'll be disappointed and it's better to go see something else, but if your focus is a good story and character development and a suspenseful unfolding you'll definitely find that here, the plots are interesting and make sense in the story, it's not something forced, even though the protagonist doesn't show any kind of feeling as she learns she gains more layers, let's root for her sister after she decides ..... for her sister, the prince who conquers her with his charisma beyond the kingdom, the animation ... is great, I'm still watching and the Asmodeus' motives are kind of ..... boring but I'm still on the penultimate episode, then I'll leave a conclusion but for now it's: if you like fantasy and intrigue you'll like this work but if you came for the romance it's better to go see something else.

What happens when a technical masterpiece is morally bankrupt?

Mushoku Tensei is, and I don't say this lightly, the epitome of isekai storytelling and the antithesis of what ought to be portrayed to an engaged audience-- it is a work so close to greatness that its shortcomings feel like complete betrayal.

This IS NOT a generic truck-kun induced adventure story. Rudeus Greyrat carries genuine trauma, real consequences, and the weight of a lived failure into his second chance. The new world breathes with authentic detail. The characters possess depth and flaws that puts many anime protagonists to shame.

Despite that, the anime harbors something rotten.

Mushoku Tensei understands what ... most isekai refuse to acknowledge: a story about being given a second chance means nothing without a first chance worth redeeming. Rudeus isn't a blank slate for projection-- he's a broken man wearing the mask of a child. The show's early episodes masterfully establish this tension through brilliant visual storytelling and nuanced character work.

Paul's flawed parenting creates genuine family dynamics. Roxy's teaching feels authentic rather than convenient for the viewer. Even minor characters like Lilia operate with clear motivations that serve the larger narrative. The magic system feels lived-in rather than game-like. The world has consequences. People die brutally and suddenly.

This is isekai done right. This is isekai with purpose.

Then comes Eris.

The show's treatment of sexuality-- particularly involving minors-- transforms what could be nuanced character development into something deeply uncomfortable. Rudeus's mental age creates an inherent power imbalance that the narrative not only ignores but actively romanticizes. The story asks viewers to accept a 34-year-old man in a child's body forming sexual relationships with actual children.

This isn't edgy storytelling, and it sure as hell isn't complex moral territory being explored with care and consideration. This comes off as a fundamental failure to grapple with the implications of the isekai's own premise.

The world itself mirrors this moral bankruptcy. Eris's father-- ostensibly a "good" noble-- casually offers his own daughter as a sexual bribe without consequence or condemnation. Paul's infidelity is treated as charming roguishness rather than betrayal. The narrative presents a world where such behavior is normalized, yet fails to use this corruption as a meaningful contrast to highlight what should be condemned. Instead, the morally bankrupt world becomes an excuse for morally bankrupt characters.

Worse still, the narrative consistently excuses rather than challenges Rudeus's most problematic behaviors. Paul's confrontation-- where valid criticism gets dismissed because "Rudeus is just a kid--" exemplifies how the show's refusal to hold its protagonist able by adult standards only serves to enforce a kind of power fantasy that this anime should have avoided.

I must emphasize: Studio Bind's animation deserves nothing but praise. There are multiple gem scenes within this anime whose visual storytelling can rival even Pixar's best work. Character animation feels cinematic. Magic has weight and consequence. The production values suggest a team that genuinely cares about their craft.

The writing unmistakably shows similar care in its world-building and character relationships. Paul's complicated relationship with his son rings true. Ghislaine's abilities are exquisitely portrayed. The exploration of trauma and social anxiety feels authentic rather than manipulative.

But technical excellence cannot excuse moral cowardice. Beautiful animation and otherwise magnificent writing cannot paper over narrative choices that actively harm the themes the show claims to explore.

Mushoku Tensei effectively had everything it needed to become the definitive isekai. Strong source material, unlimited budget, ionate creators, and a protagonist with genuine depth and realistic, uncomfortable flaws.

Instead, it became a cautionary tale about artistic compromise.

The show works best when focused on genuine character growth and meaningful relationships. It fails catastrophically when sexualizing minors or excusing predatory behavior. These aren't minor stumbles-- they're fundamental contradictions that undermine everything the series does well.

Mushoku Tensei represents both the highest heights and deepest lows of modern anime. Technically superb and narratively ambitious, yet morally bankrupt.

The tragedy isn't that it's terrible-- terrible shows can be dismissed and forgotten. The tragedy is that it almost achieves greatness. Almost delivers meaningful character development. Almost justifies the praise heaped upon it by fans desperate for quality isekai content. And I don't blame them for feeling this way.

The anime almost transcends its genre completely. Save for its issues, Mushoku Tensei almost delivers a strong 9/10 or even a light 10/10. But Studio Bind's execution falls short when being almost perfect isn't enough to overcome fundamental moral failures.

It was only upon closer analysis that I realized how much weight that single word carries-- almost great, almost meaningful, almost worthy of unconditional praise.

Almost isn't enough.

The eps are basically 12 different stories in which the only connection between them is Patty's plot. There are stories that you expect something more intense but that's all she really offers and there are very good stories like 3, 5, 6 for me is the best ep and 4 is a criticism if you pay attention, I would have liked to have seen a little more of the development of Lady and Trish, the animation is satisfactory with a mistake here and there but it doesn't get in the way and in fact they go unnoticed to those who are not used to seeing ... it, recommended for those who enjoy savagery and gore.

There's nothing to say about Code Geass—except that it's a masterpiece. Lelouch is probably the single best-written character in anime, and I've seen a lot of them. His journey is so well done that the closer you get to the end, the sadder you feel—because you know it will soon be over.
The story: it's as good as it gets it's just intriguing to see where it goes it's filled with ambition.
the art: this anime is really old yet it holds up surprisingly well would even go as far to say it beats others from the same era.
if you like death note I would not waste ... my time and instantly jump through it I ended up liking it more by the end of It.
PS:As someone who hates mechas usually the way they are used in this anime are more like tools than anything it doesn't feel forced like other mecha animes that I wasn't able to even look at for more than 5s.

The whole show is just people kissing each other with a really uninteresting story. I assume this is an attempt to just ship people? The characters range from horrendous to tolerable. The female main character is the worst one of them all. Somehow, she has less personality than the shy girl. She doesn't say or do anything interesting she might as well just be a chair with boobs. The main character is also boring he's just the "misunderstood delinquent" archetype that seems to have been popular in the time period that this came out.

Lackluster story. Boring characters. Terrible romance. It's a 2/10 because sadly, watching ... this wasn't enough of an insult to my dignity. But it was just so lacking in everything that I find it hard to get mad over it. Just completely forgettable.

I've never done an anime review before since I prefer my small community of manga readers, but I can't help but review this after how speechless and giddy this left me. I've previously encountered the Demon Lord 2099 through its first manga, but despite how promising it seemed, it got discontinued. Of course, I was immensely disappointed, but then there was a remake! Aaand.... the remake never got translations.

However, after darkness there is light because somehow, and some God spoken way, there is this. An anime. Honestly, it was my first "new" anime in 3 years. Yup, I've officially retired from watching anime and only ... occasionally keep up with my favorites, watching their sequels (Hi, One Punch Man and Overlord). And Oh Boy, the potential I saw in the first manga did not disappoint.

Of course, there are tons of parallels that can be drawn between this and "The devil is a part-timer," and I won't deny that. Heck, even the final boss fight was on a skyscraper. But, I must say that this is just... better? Perhaps it's the cyber-punk setting or the Gen-Z humor, but the comedy and action were simply amazing.

Putting aside the comedy aspects, the writing was well thought out, and the direction of the story through animations was breathtaking. I mean this with my whole heart that episode 11 was one of the best anime episodes, direction, and story-wise that I can recall within the past decade. The entire episode felt like a suspenseful short film, and I'm left flabbergasted at how this episode is in my supposed edgy and funny demon lord anime.

With that, all the characters are lovable and get progressed/explored well, especially the heroines. There are also tons of villains or side characters that make an actual impact on the story besides getting shoved in there for plot reasons.

If you can handle and enjoy some cringe, this may as well be the peak you have been searching for.

I’d rate this season as just okay. The story felt fairly predictable and didn’t do much to keep me fully engaged. While that might work for fans of the genre, I personally found it lacking in originality. It follows the typical action anime formula without adding anything new or memorable to the mix.

Visually, the anime was solid. The graphics were clean and consistent—nothing groundbreaking, but still polished and well-executed for the genre. The action scenes were visually satisfying, though I found myself wishing the emotional moments hit harder.

My main issue lies with the main character. He felt very one-dimensional and emotionally flat. There’s very little ... growth or depth to him, and his nonchalant attitude quickly became stale. The trope of female characters fawning over the stoic male lead is overdone and didn’t feel earned here. In contrast, some of the side characters were more expressive and interesting, which made me wish the spotlight had been shared more evenly.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this season unless you’re a big fan of standard power-fantasy anime and don’t mind formulaic storytelling. I won’t be continuing with the next season, but I’m glad I gave it a fair shot.

So, I like the relationship between the two main leads. I would totally ship them.
Kobayashi is funny, and interesting for a female lead. She has a lot of stereo typically male characteristics (black out drunk, bad at cleaning, likes a girl in a maid outfit...). Tooru is cute.
The art is nice.
There is not much of a plot, which is ok. Slice of life can be fun, but in this case it does drag a little.
Dragons are great!
However, there is some awkward fan service, particularly with characters who are children. If we took that element out (or even just kept the fan ... service to the adult characters!), my rating would rise by several points for sure.

So far, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten just feels like generic romance anime #1000. The production is mid, the pacing is slow, and every scene falls into one of the usual patterns: the blush inducing setups, accidental intimacy, or a misunderstanding. There’s some tension when others start noticing their relationship, but it’s the just the same low-stakes drama you’ve seen every season.

The main girl is a textbook Mary Sue. perfect, selfless, and unrealistically nurturing. Hints of trauma don’t add depth, they just check a box. The male lead is just as uninteresting. He's polite, ive, and just present enough to make the fantasy ... work. He doesn't do anything in order for the self insert to work as smoothly as possible. Because of this, their dynamic feels less like a relationship and more like self-insert comfort food.

There are maybe two side characters, and their only job is to contrast the leads by being a PDA-heavy couple. Beyond that, they do nothing of value.

So far, the show feels like it’s written for people who either want their daily dose of diabetes or those who want to be doted on by a perfect partner without needing to do anything in return. It’s not awful; just incredibly safe, trope-filled, and emotionally shallow.
